Puyallup History
Puyallup was founded by Ezra Meeker. Ezra was a Hop farmer. With it's rich soil, the region was bound to become an agricultural goldmine. Today, Puyallup is home to the Washington State Fair, Daffodil Parade, and much more.

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) provides both electric and gas service to the majority of Puyallup area residents. However, there are some areas in Puyallup that has it's electrical provided by Tacoma Power (TPU). Originally, there were three energy providers in the region, Tacoma Power, Washington Natural Gas, and Puget Power. Puget Power merged with Washington Natural Gas back in 1997, then re-structured to become Puget Sound Energy in 2001.
