What to expect when you request our Electrical Inspection
We will provide a complete 21-point electrical inspection report that will point out key electrical safety concerns and make recommendations to help keep you and your family safe.
Electrical Safety Checklist

Identify the electric panel manufacturer

Record electric panel rated ampacity

Record electric panel location and make sure it meets NEC requirements.

Record the estimated age of your home's of electrical gear.

Identify whether or not your electrical service is protected with a main overcurrent device.

Record how many spaces are currently used, and available for future electrical improvements.

Provide expert opinion on the condition of the main electrical busbar.

Identify whether or not there is an existing whole home surge protector and it's condition (now required in all homes per current NEC).

Identify the overall condition of your electrical panel with respect to safety and expected useful service life.

Determine If your electrical panel is properly indexed and labeled.

Determine if your circuit breakers are properly sized for their respective circuit loads.

Document condition of circuit breakers/over-current devices.

Identify and verify proper electrical connection methods to circuit breakers (absence of "dog-piled" or improper multi-tapped circuits).

Identify aluminum circuits and verify proper termination methods.

Make sure all "shared neutral" loads are properly connected per NEC guidelines.

Identify and test all GFCI receptacles. Provide recommendations where missing per NEC guidelines.

Identify and test all AFCI receptacles. Provide recommendations where missing per NEC guidelines.

all TR circuits and make recommendations per NEC Guidelines. TR circuits were first introduced into the NEC back in 2008. The installation of TR (tamper-resistant) circuits, help reduce accidental electrocution. Especially with small curious children.

Identify if outdoor electrical receptacles are weather resistant and GFCI protected per NEC requirements.

Ensure smoke detectors are properly installed, functional, and operating within their expected useful life.

Ensure Carbon monoxide alarms are properly installed, functional, and operating within their expected useful life.
